Description
It has recently reached me that Viktor Antonov passed away in February. Having to deal with my grandpa's passing myself this past Christmas, I barely paid attention to the news. So this next dupe I've made I will publish in his memory and thought that a beacon would be a fitting memorial. Simply being that if it wasn't for him and his art directions in the gaming industry, I wouldn't be making any of these dupes or entries myself. Let alone play my most favorite game since I was 4.

In the waning days of the United States, before the towering Citadel of City 17 rose, the Argent Wolves detected an unusual distress beacon along the eastern border. Its faint wavelengths flickered on their radar, sparking intrigue during their inaugural expedition to the region in search of critical Aperture technologies and new opportunities. The newly Xen-infested world brimmed with known dangers—and others yet to be uncovered. Undaunted, the Argent Wolves set out to investigate the signal’s source.

Their pursuit led them to Jessica Loid, a Xenian specialist and research aide to Dr. Maxwell, a key figure in the United States’ rebel movement known as the Chi-Loopers. With the Argent Wolves’ assistance, Jessica reunited with Dr. Maxwell at his fortified lab and outpost in the Central Wasteland Front. In gratitude, the Chi-Loopers forged a powerful alliance with the Argent Wolves, granting access to their advanced technologies, collaborative research opportunities, and command of their fighting forces under the banner of the Argent Crusader.

This partnership proved pivotal. The combined might of the Argent Wolves and Chi-Loopers, bolstered by the Crusader’s cutting-edge capabilities, led to decisive victories against formidable Combine strongholds, including The Burg and The Air Conditioner. Ultimately, their unified efforts culminated in the liberation of the city, marking a turning point in the resistance against the Combine’s dominion.

This beacon utilizes a bombardment of electromagnetic waves to blast through whatever barriers that may appear. Sending out a clear, visible beam that penetrates the skies under any condition.

Due to the fact that my works are becoming way too big for Garry's Mod to handle, and due to the fact that I realize playability involving my work is near nonexistent with all the issues surrounding constraints, I will begin a new initiative of transitioning my work into Advance Duplicator 2 files which will be available on my Patreon for free.

Requires Half-life 2 and episodes, involving lost coast, probably not deathmatch.

Ok update: ive added 6 stages to the beacon that would cut off (hopefully) at whatever short skybox height some maps have with the final one being the mega one. If you want the full beam, hell you can just remove the effect ripples, they are the ones far off on the sides, or you can color them to have various color stages to the beacon like in the second pic. This should somewhat remedy this.

Ik the problem you mean, it is bc the skybox is too damn short. Mapmakers really need to make their shit taller. I'll work on a sollution where maybe ill layer the light for various maps

for some reason the beacon light is out of place yet i dont see any errors
