-- Lore --
While the Stingray and its ROV are more cost effective, the Octopus's submarine can dive much deeper and operate beneath the ice. Designed to withstand harsh environments, the submarine features reinforcements around the cockpit and engines to survive collisions with ice formations.

Originally, the Octopus operated independently, but its limited top speed of just 30 kph made long distance travel inefficient. To address this, the Octopus-class support ship was developed to transport and resupply the submarine during missions.

The Octopus and its support ship were most often deployed in the Arctic regions of the High Seas, where many artifacts remained out of reach for the Stingray’s ROV.
