Nakitus

Description
Adds the Nakitus xenotype, a spider-vampire inspired hybrid that's just a tad more balanced (and gimmicky!) than Sanguophages. My first Rimworld mod! :)

Just needs Harmony, has some compatibility with DBH if you've got that.
If there is any bugs or incompatibilities, please tell me!

The Nakitus
The Nakitus are a rare xenohuman descended from a single ancient ancestor from a faraway planet. The Nakitus create a potent venom that can kill almost any creature in a matter of hours, however, they themselves are not immune to the effects of this deadly substance. If a Nakitus goes to long without injecting prey with their venom, their venom sacs can leak or rupture, causing guaranteed death. Direct sun exposure dries out the Nakitus as it does with most arachnids, but water and shade is a decent enough counter. These downsides are made less biting through the ability to use blood for nutrients, enhanced legs that can leap great distances, and spider instincts that dodge attacks others cannot.

Venom Buildup
A new gene that can only be obtained on a Nakitus (or DevMode), which causes them to have a new need meter, "Venom Buildup", and a new ability to bite animals or others and inject their deadly venom. This venom will build-up over the course of 60 days and will be injectable on 36th-60th day, giving a two week window to actually purge the venom. If you fail to purge the venom, it will instead kill the Nakitus on the 61st day. This is the core mechanic and gimmick of the Xenotype.

Culicivoric
A new gene similar to Bloodfeeder that allows a pawn to bite and extract blood from a target. Instead of gaining Hemogen, the biter simply gains nutrition and a slight mood buff. Inspired by the goat, Evarcha culicivora.

Desiccation
A more interactive version of the UV sensitivity gene from the base game. A Nakitus in the sun gains a mood debuff, but this can be offset by finding shade, rain or standing in water. Additonally, a Nakitus can be forced to consume a beverage to stave off Desiccation for a few hours. (If DBH is installed, water bottles are great!). If the Nakitus fails to get moisture or shade for multiple hours, they will become severely dehydrated and gain an even larger mood debuff and a speed penalty.

Longevity
Simple gene that makes aging three times slower after hitting eighteen. Very vampire, much wow.

Reactionary Dodger
This gene allows the Nakitus to use their spider instincts to dodge attacks others cannot. Forty percent of all attacks that would've hit the pawn simply... don't. This is applied after dodge/hit chance calculations, making it an additional line of defense for those shots that get through all the odds and hit the pawn. Absolutely busted, but then again, you gotta babysit your Nakitus so it all balances out.

Ecdysis
Ecdysis is the way you get more Nakitus, if you want that. Every year a Nakitus will molt, leaving behind an Exuviae. This can be sold, ooor... you can keep it around for a rainy day. The Exuviae has a healing property and on the first consumption can completely cure a pawn of an infection. When you can't outpace the infection, Exuviae has got your back! Although... it will start the transformation process. You can stop there or keep going to get a full fledged new Nakitus, after four consumption of Exuviae, the pawn will be transformed into one.

Additional Genes
Thin with Red Eyes and White Hair - Classic vampire look...
Very fast runner - Spiders are very fast! Also it helps balance them out a bit.
Psychically deaf - These are biological spider-vampires! Magic is a nono.
Dark Vision - Pretty much required since they have a sunlight weakness, plus spiders.
Black Fangs - Purely cosmetic gene, but black fangs are cooler than white ones.
Salticidae Legs - The leap ability from Sanguophages but using food instead of hemogen. It makes more sense on a spider anyways.
Strong Immunity - Seemed thematic?

Custom Scenario - Progenitor Nakitus
In this scenario you will spawn with a special Nakitus who cranks up the negatives and positives of the Xenotype. With a fat seventy percent chance to dodge all attacks, but an even worse fourteen day venom injection timer that can *only* be used on humans! It's very gimmicky and challenging, but fun!

Updates?
This mod was made quickly to dip my feet in modding before working on a larger project. I will probably come back and update this mod with a bunch of config options, especially if people think my balancing is ass. Just let me know!

The beverage drinking icon is from Dubs Bad Hygiene, and is integrated with that mod.

Ah, I see. When I added the death vfx I copied some code from the death acidifier but animals don't have a equipment system like pawns do! What a silly mistake. Should be fixed now!

Tried it for some days now and it seems that the venom can't kill (at least) wild animals. They generate an error that the venom should kill them but can't and they laying around are with 100% buildup.

LET'S GOOO! I love to see any addition to the type of xeno-based mods avaliable!

Glad to see more people trying to get into modding, let's me keep being a parasite: mooching on other people's hard work to improve my experience! ;P

But seriously, I'm not going to make any requests or suggestions now- since you already stated you are working on another mod. However, I would like to know if it is possible to suggest ideas on already existing mods OR to commission a mod from you? (once again, AFTER you deal with your stuff- I don't want to cause burnout :P)

interesting, gonna add it once i finish this playtrough (we are quite literally camping at the spaceship, transporting stuff with Louie from VVE tier 3. its a pain setting everything up)
