[sbz] Cryogenic Tank

Description

Cryogenic Tank
· Safe to add to a save game

Adds four types of cryogenic tanks for displaying and preserving pawns
I've always wanted to preserve enemy leaders, powerful mechanoids, and rare creatures as trophies.

This mod adds four types of cryogenic Tanks.
They work similarly to cryptosleep caskets, but with a few key differences:
  • Displays the pawn inside
  • Can also stores corpses, preventing decay
  • Allows selection of the target tank
  • Supports painting
  • Causes cryptosleep sickness and hypothermia when pawn is taken out

Design

Of course, I know cylindrical designs look cool, but I chose a rectangular design because I wanted multiple tanks to connect together and appear as one giant tank when placed side by side.

Gizmo

There are Body Size restrictions for each building size to prevent pawns from protruding sideways. However, since Body Size and Draw Size don't always match, I've added 6 gizmos to allow adjustment of the internal pawn's position.

!!Note: Pawns that enter the building by themselves cannot be rotated.

How to Use

Select a colonist, right-click on a downed pawn or corpse, click "carry to cryogenic tank", and then click on the desired building.

I probably won't be able to update for a while. Please try to use only 1x1 on Odyssey ships. It's not a bug, but it won't look good when rotated.

@iddqd

Obviously not this mod, but there's this if you want to display them and they are graves so

Ah, thats a bummer. Can you make it count as a grave tho?
Would be really cool to have a hero museum/resurrection serum queue instead of a graveyard for my sci-fi transhumanist colony.

You can store a corpse, but this isn't a grave.

As expected, the building is forcibly rotated and appears incorrectly. There’s no error, but... I'll update it after enjoying Odyssey.

Can store corpses? Does it work as a suitable burial for colonists then?

Thanks for the mod, it would be great if you could add a cylindrical one, even if it's for one pawn only.

this is actually a pretty cool concept I haven't seen done before. I've already iced my best friend! I do want to know if theres a way to use this mod on people in real life that may have been.... well, lets just say, I need to know where I can store a body for an indiscriminate amount of time

In Odyssey, ships can be rotated, but I'm not sure what happens to asymmetrical buildings that cannot be rotated. If they don't work properly, there's a possibility that buildings may be modified to 3x3, 4x4.
