Nashville & Eastern

Description
A layout set on the former TCRY Eastern Subdivision. The line has a long and storied history, starting as the TCRY and eventually being bought out by the L&N. This layout is a prototype-freelance, modeled loosely after some real life points of interest across a 100 mile stretch of mainline. It can be run as a point-to-point OR in continuous running. The Nashville yard will have plenty of space to stage trains in either direction, and the ends are connected by a hidden tunnel so you never have to stop trainspotting!

The layout begins in Nashville, near the opulent Union Station's marble arches and brass chandeliers. In the background you can see the AT&T Tower (Batman Building), the Johnny Cash Museum, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. If you're looking for a quieter life in the shadow of the Appalachian mountains, or you just want to get whiskey bent and hell bound on that old Honky Tonk Highway, Music City welcomes you!

Moving east past fields of grain and endless deciduous forest, trains make a quick station stop in Lebanon. Then, they continue on up the Silver Point grade. The insanely steep grade used to force steam locomotives to double the hill here, running cars to the top of the hill in sections.

Just beyond that is a swing bridge across the Caney Fork River to a little town called Mine Lick. Make sure to stop by and ask for some sweet tea at the Whistle Stop Cafe before you go! No, I insist. Wait, Really? You don't like sweet tea? Oh, bless your heart!

Finally, we climb the grade to Monterey. You hear that old coal tipple buzzing? Don't it just make you yearn for the mines? Oh, I guess it's just me then... Anyway, this layout has it all! It even comes bundled with a ton of sick L&N stuff! What'cha waitin' on, y'all? Subscribe already! Go on now, git!
