Description
Craft transparent variants of gravship substructure and heavy bridges!

Mod Contents

This mini-mod adds two new foundations that are statistically and mechanically identical to regular gravship substructure and heavy bridges except that they are visually transparent. When built over terrain, the terrain (including moving water) will be visible under the foundation. When built over open space, the planet will be visible underneath. (Hope you're not afraid of heights!)

Technical Details

Transparent Substructure uses 3 custom SectionLayers and 4 Harmony patches to modify the gravship mask, add the glass overlay, and force normal terrain rendering under transparent foundations.

Would be super cool if you can add a transparent flooring to go with them. I want to put a window in the floor of a throneroom, but it breaks the requirements.

When building a wall or hull on the transparent superstructure, all blocks will be shown as singular blocks and nit display as a wall.

@Sarg Bjornson - Will definitely take a look, gravship rendering is really finnicky due to how they're using chroma key to mask out anything that's not supposed to be part of the ship. I get issues with things like shadows causing the yellow to color-shift out of the chroma key range and getting weird matting too. :(

I have noticed that placing anything over the substructure makes it show up yellow artifacts on lift-off and landing, have you found any way to get rid of those?

This is awesome in any case. So much better than the attempts I made

so i figured out it was actually a mod called outland more floors. not playing nice. i got rid of it and put your mod at the bottom of my list works fine. so if i had to guess its that mod itself and not your mod. which is weird since it only adds floors

@StoryTellerMerc - I couldn't even begin to guess, other than that it's likely due to some sort of code collision with another mod that alters terrain rendering. If you could narrow down which other mod is causing this collision then I can take a look.

so i play alot of other mods and for some very odd reason when i add this mod. it makes any mountains that have paths underneath be like a solid floor above it. if pawns pass through they vanish. and come out the other side same with animals. its like its a whole other level. but i am getting no errors or anything. any idea what could be causing this?

@Your Best Friend - There is a Remove Foundation button in the Odyssey architect tab, it should remove both substructure and bridges!
