Craftable Zone

Description
Please read the description.

In Steam we cannot add Localization, thus you need to download it and manually install it. Instructions are in Lootable Zone's description.

DISCLAIMER: This mod is in its TESTING PHASE. It is by no means finished, and anything could change. However I wish to upload it to get feedback from the community. Please leave your feedback in comments. Any bugs you find, there will be a discussion here in Steam to report them.

IF THE . BUTTON DOES NOT OPEN THE CRAFTING MENU IT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE ANOTHER MOD EDITING BP_STALKER2CHARACTER LIKE FLASHLIGHT MODS, WHICH ARE INCOMPATIBLE UNTIL GSC ADDRESSES A BP LOADING ISSUE.

IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, TRY INSTALLING MANUALLY FROM NEXUS.

Check patch notes tab.

  • There is a exploit at the moment in which the ammo disassembly will show that you have more ammo than you do in your inventory. In truth you do, but it is in the magazine of your loaded weapon. This is because the function we are able to access to get the inventory items counts all ammo, including those in magazines, which cannot be removed from the inventory. This creates the possibility of crafting ammo forever. While GSC gives us a way to count the ammo some other way (which I have already requested), I have put an "Extra Item" requirement to disassemble ammo. When paired with Lootable Zone, you will require "Tool Oil" to disassemble stacks of ammo, which you will need to buy from traders, or craft yourself, otherwise you will be unable to disassemble ammo.
  • I am aware that some players may find the "Item Lost" notification rather annoying when crafting ammo or disassembling it. I am trying to find a way to disable it.
  • Localization has to be manually downloaded and installed. Very sorry for this, but I cannot do anything about this. GSC is trying to find a fix.
  • Unfortunately at this moment there does not seem to be a way to patch the way I do the recipes, or even any other mod for this matter. This isn't on the mod, but on GSC's way of loading mods into the game and their priority. GSC has to fix this for this framework to be usable by other modders.

Craftable Zone is a mod that adds a brand new system to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: crafting items. In the fashion of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, Craftable Zone will let you craft many different kinds of items. But it is first of all, a framework. This means that Craftable Zone will NOT work without a looting mod. You can load my looting mod with it for the experience I wanted for myself: Lootable Zone, which is also the requirement set here in Steam. At this moment by how the game works, it does not seem possible to patch over this mod, meaning: it is not possible to create your own recipes, sorry about that.

Craftable Zone features a well made system where the main objective was to maximize compatibility and implementation with other mods. When paired with Lootable Zone, both provide a great gameplay where you don't need to rely on traders- and even if you do, they may not have what you look for. Both together, aim to give more incentives to explore The Zone, and find materials or items, something familiar to people who enjoyed Anomaly's crafting system, aswell as providing a fresh look on itemization in the game, with plenty of familiar items inspired from Anomaly. Every item has its own handmade icon created through a render of the existing and matching 3D model: indeed, most items added in Lootable Zone have their own 3D models in the world, which immediately allow players to recognize them once they see them whiles exploring. These 3D models were either already part of the game- thus keep the style GSC intended for the game, or were made by me as no others existed in the game already.

To open the Crafting Menu, press ".". Yes, just the dot in your keyboard, not a comma. If you are using a controller, press right shoulder button and left shoulder button. To exit the menu, press the button you use to crouch.

For modders interested in using this, GSC will eventually implement a priority loading which will allow you to create your own recipes and patch over this mod.

I am aware of an exploit when disassembling ammo. This is something I wish to fix ASAP when GSC lets us read ammo count in a different way.

How do I add my own recipes into the mod?
At this moment this is not possible due to how the game loads files that overwrite one another. GSC will fix this eventually.

I found a bug! How do I report it?
You can report bugs in the "Bug Reports" discussion here in the discussion section of this mod.

Where do I find tools to disassemble or craft items?
Basic, Advanced and Expert Tools, aswell as Drug-Making Kit, and Gunsmithing Kit, are found in the world, so you will need to explore and find them either in stashes, or in some abandoned building. However you can find tools like Multitools, Pliers, Hammers, or Screwdrivers also in stashes, overworld, in the corpses of dead enemies (or allies...), or vendors may sell them sometimes.

Do you plan to add a repair system to go along?
Yes. Eventually. The plan is to have something very much like Anomaly. I really enjoyed the systems there and how good it felt to find the item you looked for to repair the armour you had looted a while ago, and so.

What are your plans for the future of the mod?
Check the Things To Do discussion down below.

Craftable Zone is compatible with all mods, except those that right now edit BP_Stalker2Character. This is simply because it is one of the few ways we have right now to load blueprints into the game. My apologies if you wish to use another mod that uses this. GSC is looking at the moment for a way to load blueprints without needing to overwrite things like BP_Stalker2Character, so when that happens, be sure that this issue will not be here.

Another option is to load it in a widget, but that would require editing CoreVariables instead, which would cause incompatibilities with other mods aswell. In the end, it is having to choose.

When it comes to recipes of other mods, I plan on making the compatibility with OXA to craft the mod's items myself because I also use it. For the moment, when I do this, it will be injected into this same mod, although eventually when GSC allows us to patch mods (basically mod a mod), it will be a separate addon to this mod.

VERY IMPORTANT. If you simply download the mod from here and play, the names of the items from Lootable Zone will appear all messed up, PLEASE look at the description of Lootable Zone for a guide on how to fix this.

I do not allow the contents of this mod nor this mod to be uploaded anywhere else nor by other people other than myself. The usage of this mod's contents in custom modpacks that are done outside of collections in Steam, Nexus or Mod.IO is not allowed unless explicit permission is given by myself.

Its extremly low chance you will find advanced or expert tools...And even if you find them you can already buy or find item you want to craft . I finished quest for ultimate detector and find almost all attachements for weapons , and still dont have even avanced tools (I was searching every fucking crate , box and safe on my way) MOD IS USELESS , DON`t waste time on pointless searching

Started another play through and have found most of the tools in the southern parts of the map. It is a bit strange though given that I have never seen them spawn in boxes or with one exception in the form of a medicine kit be found on a corpse. Might be ideal if they could be made via recipe or bought off of vendors. Still trying to track down the advanced tool kit.

Sadly I cannot open the crafting menu. was so excited for this mod help

Does not work properly with AZERTY keyboards. The . key is exclusive to QWERTY. I am forced to switch to QWERTY manually every time I wanna use the crafting menu. Is there a way to change the key to open the crafting menu?
