"Explosion is Art...!!"


B: "Ok, I think I smelt something crazy again this time..."
A: "Yeah... Crazy enough to shoot an atomic bomb from your grenade launcher, hehehehe..."


So, this is the grenade launcher version for "Atomic Pipebomb". If you're familiar with "Atomic Pipebomb", then this one is the same. The only difference is, instead of throwing a grenade, you'll shoot this atomic ammo from your grenade launcher. Yeah, pretty OP, right, having 31 GL ammo, & atomic GL ammo instead...? But whatever... As long as it's fun, nobody can stop you :D .


List of features availableon "atomic gl.txt" cfg file:
  1. atomic_grenade_launcher_user: Who can use this (bots/ players/ all).

  2. atomic_grenade_launcher_damage: The damage of atomic GL.

  3. atomic_grenade_launcher_radius: The radius of atomic GL. The default is 500 (2x original GL radius).

  4. allow_damage_on_survivor: When enabled, the explosion can damage survivors. The closer to the center of explosion, the greater the damage is.


Mechanisms of "Atomic Grenade Launcher":
  • Shoot GL as usual.

  • This GL will trigger a shot cooldown, so you can't shoot continuously even with a mod that gives more than 1 ammo clip on GL.

  • When the GL projectile lands on any objects (zombie, wall, ground etc), atomic explosion with much greater explosion than normal GL will be triggered.

  • Atomic explosion damage & radius are controlled by the features on the cfg file.

  • Survivors in explosion radius will stumble, while special infected will be thrown to the sky.

  • When "allow_damage_on_survivor" is enabled, survivors take damage from the explosion. The closer a survivor is to the center of explosion, the greater the damage will be. The damage reduction is based on difficulty level. Easy/ Normal= 10% of original damage, Advanced= 25% or original damage, Expert= 50% of original damage.


Q: "Does this work like the GL mod that has greater explosion on workshop?"
A: "No. This one doesn't require special ammo like explosive ammo to trigger atomic explosion, as this use 'Atomic Pipebomb' as the template."

NOTES:
  1. If you use a GL script mod that makes GL shoot very fast & then you shoot more than 2 GL projectiles, both will explode at the same time the moment the first one lands on any objects. So, it's better to shoot only after the previous gl projectile exploded.
  2. You can skip the shot cooldown of atomic GL by switching to other items & then switching back to GL. But remember on point no. 1, don't shoot more than one GL projectile before it explodes.
