RPD-44 Light Machine Gun
The RPD-44 is a Soviet belt-fed light machine gun, developed by Vasily Degtyaryov in the late stages of World War II and officially adopted in 1944. Chambered in 7.62×39mm, the same round later used in the AK-47, the RPD combines reliable gas operation, a fixed barrel, and a 100-round drum-fed belt system for continuous suppressive fire. Simple, rugged, and built to last, it became a staple in Soviet and allied forces during the Cold War. Whether in jungle, desert, or urban combat — the RPD delivered relentless firepower.
