A new release of steam locomotives from the Delaware and Hudson, this being the pacifics the railroad owned!
the Delaware and Hudsons steam was to say the least... unique. most of their steam locomotives were steam locomotives rebuilt from camelbacks, which had wootten fire boxes, and the steam that wasn't build as a camelback, still attained the wootten fireboxes, the pacifics were no different. the pacifics were build with the wootten fireboxes in order to burn the Anthracite Coal that the delaware and hudson used. later on in the pacifics life, they were rebuilt with sunken in headlamps, added smoke deflectors, and some other smaller details. once the rebuilds were completed, the looked more like a foreign steam locomotive rather than the conventional steam locomotive that you would have seen in america at the time, creating a stark visual contrast. they were put on passenger service for the D&H, and were all retired by 1952-53, and later scrapped with the rest of the D&Hs steam.

while the steam on the D&H is no more, you can still experience it in this pack! both the rebuilt and original configurations of the pacific are included in this pack, bringing back a time when steam was king through out america!
