Mercenary Monthly Income

Description
Converts the periodic dividends paid by Mercenary Enclaves into a monthly income.

Monthly Income
Mercenary Dividends are removed and replaced with an empire modifier that adds Energy Credits, Minerals, Food, and Research per month based on the average of vanilla values. Everything that previously affected dividend size and frequency affects the monthly income in the same way, such that it stays the average.

This will show up in your monthly income of these resources, so you can more accurately account for your mercenaries in your economy planning, and planets set to auto will consider this as well.

Note: This mod does not attempt to rebalance mercenary payouts, the income generated here is on average what you would get normally. The one caveat here is that dividend size is normally based on your own income with a max and min value, and for simplicity I went with the max since in most cases that's what you'd be getting and it's not that high anyways.

Fewer popups
This also means fewer popups from mercenaries, since you don't need to accept their dividends. The "Financial Troubles" popup remains, as this is the only dividend event that offers the player a choice. It has a very low monthly chance equivalent to the average of vanilla.

Code
Code is available on GitLab: https://gitlab.com/MrPie5/stellaris-mercenary-income-mod
I will try to remember to keep this updated.

Languages
All languages are supported and were translated using a mixture of humans and machine translation.
The following languages were human-translated:
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Chinese
  • French
  • German
  • Polish
  • Russian
  • Spanish
The following languages were machine-translated:
  • Japanese
  • Korean
I figured it was better than nothing. If you speak one of these languages and would like to offer translation, please contact me. There are only 4 strings that need translating.

Compatibility
This mod adds the global flag
mercenary_income_mod_installed
in case other mods want to detect it.

Any mod that adds new income sources to the resource dropdowns at the top of the screen (see screenshots) will be incompatible, as will anything that touches the mercenary dividends situation or events. Anything else is probably™ fine.

Credits and shoutouts
This is my first mod, so thanks to everyone who helped me figure it out. In particular:
  • The editors of the Stellaris Wiki
  • The Stellaris Modding Discord, especially TTFTCUTS for answering most of my questions
  • The Stellaris dev team for putting comments and readmes in their code
  • Karmaworks, alex4401, westgrass, harpiesd96, BotAntony, AlphaJon, and MacInsight for translations

Yes, everything that would affect dividend frequency affects the monthly income in the same way, such that it's still the average of what you'd get in vanilla.

does this account for the more frequent payouts from sources like the Lord of War accession perk?
