Description
Béchar Valley

Arid map with unforgiving terrain, designed for fun tank battles between friends.

Feel free to use the map however you want; the only thing I will ask is that if a dedicated server wishes to use this map, please ask for my permission. I will say that if you use it for battles (which is the intended and, honestly, best purpose) that you do not use any aircraft - this is a small map at about 3.5km from spawn to spawn and was not designed with A2G combat in mind.

This map was originally designed for Sector Control Payload (a gamemode Inspired by TF2), which is why you will find a rail track running through the map; these tracks are not functional. For the best experience using this map, I suggest that you play Payload (search Sector Control in the server browser). Also, the mod includes custom fog, audio, and trees to make the map feel more immersive, so I recommend you only load the mod when you are planning to use the map.

The map does not require any DLCs; you will find the play area on the northeast side of Sawyer. You will have to teleport onto the map. Since this was designed to be only played within its radius, the map is not blended in with Sawyer at all, and you will find an invisible wall that surrounds the tiles to keep users in the play area.

A final thing to note: the workbench areas are intentionally small, meant to fit most reasonably sized tanks - you can always change the edit area size in the mod's tile XMLs, but I can also increase the size by default if there is enough interest.

If you have any questions, concerns, or find an issue with the map, feel free to direct message waflfr on Discord or leave a comment. Have Fun!

@oMoxxie

Yes, it will conflict with Opal Shaders since it modifies fog, which Opal also does. Honestly, using Opal on this map seems a bit unnecessary to me, but if you want to you can go into your workshop/573090/3531881748 directory and delete the light.glsf file. This will remove my fog filter and free up Opal.
