True Trappers: One Trap for All Animals

For a while, I used the Void Kittens mod, but it ended up being too laborious and non-immersive, with four different traps and a lot of baits to manage. Eventually, I decided to make my own version in true Trapper style.

Almost all animals in Karvenia are herbivorous, with the exception of wolves. Even wild boars, which don't mind small animals, are predominantly herbivorous.

How the trap works: The main baits are berries and wheat, which attract almost all animals and are captured. Small carcasses of captured rabbits and crows attract wolves and possibly wild boars (though these are very rare).
So feel free to use only berries as bait and don't worry about catching wolves, who will eat the rabbit carcasses.

Added the ability to craft the trap to the quick crafting menu. Requires animal handling level 5.

To be compatible with other mods, you'll need to place the traps not too close to the settlement, but not too far either.
As a test, start placing traps progressively further from the settlement and you'll see which one is the right one based on the number of full traps.


Villagers
  • All villagers have their maximum potential increased to 10 for all skills, while their starting values remain vanilla.
  • All recruitable villagers have the same price as in vanilla but can be acquired immediately, without exception, from the homeless to the expert: the only requirement is having enough renown points.

Fast travel
  • Fast travel is unlocked ar start and now costs 1 ticket per trip , and you can travel with pets and companions. The first trip is free, considering the work done to build the signal.
  • Travel signals can be built anywhere except adjacent to other villages.
  • Fast travel tickets can be purchased from village elders.
  • For a while, you'll also be able to craft them through the quick menu for 1 wood, to give those who don't know about it or are lost in the woods time to buy tickets.
  • In the current game, existing travel signals will continue to use the old requirement. To see the change, you must dismantle and rebuild the signal.

A standalone trap version would be great. The villager portion makes the game too easy while the travel change is not better due to having to craft yet another item over and over to travel.

Great work. I actually enjoy educating my villagers now. The travel thing is a bonus and works flawlessly.

about fast travel: the mod is in early stage, so yes, why not. also i'm looking foward make fast travel require money; but at the moment i'm busy with immersive karvenia, making legendary weapons and other news.

@Darkallek: this mod need a new start because the villagers get their abilities, trait and whatever when they spawn and is forever all the run. only new spawns actor will have new value.
just to test start a new game go to the village and interact with people and see what happen.
if still not working for you try to put this mod at the end of your list, and check in mod manager if this have conflict with other mods.
the last in load order will win.
