Harvesting and mining all in one: X3 edition
A tribute to Void Kittens

With all the myriad settings available in Void Kittens mods, unfortunately, there was no x3 version, and the leap from x2 to x5 was too much for me. So, in the end, I decided to create my own x3 version, which covers every aspect of harvesting across all fields, ores, plants, and trees.
Nothing was overlooked.

Plants
  • All plants yield 3x when harvesting in Open World (not on farms)

Minerals
  • Harvesting: Mining: Copper, Tin, Iron, and Rock yield 3x
  • Mining: Copper, Tin, and Iron yield 3x + 1 Rock per hit

Rocks
  • Stone and Granite Rocks are removed with a pickaxe:
  • Granite Rocks yield 3 to 25 Granite + 3 to 10 Stone
  • Standard-sized Stone Rocks yield 3 to 25 Stone
  • Large Stone Rocks yield 3 to 50 Stone

Cutting Timber
  • Adult trees are felled with one blow of the axe, yielding 3 instantly. The felled trunk must be harvested, yielding 1 each.
  • Larger tree trunks must be cut down to a maximum of 3 pieces. This applies to both standard and hardwood trees.
  • Young trees are removed with one blow of the axe, yielding 9 logs.
  • Dead trees are removed with one blow of the axe, yielding 9 logs.
  • The same principle is applied to stumps, except that a shovel is needed.

Timber Harvesting
  • Small saplings are harvested by hand, yielding 9 logs.
  • All small timber harvestable from the ground has a yield of 3.
  • Existing logs on the ground, such as those from swamps, have a yield of 3.

This mod lends a more natural flow to the game play and progression however, might I suggest reducing young and dead trees to 6, saplings to 3 and stumps to 1 to be more in line with the larger trees.
