The Odyssey

Description
WARNING!!!
The hero is vulnerable and can die in melee combat. This weakness is intentional, to encourage the player to use the hero primarily as a support unit: either by using their bow from a distance, or by attacking an enemy's rear with a sword to help lower the enemy unit's morale.

Odysseus's Special Abilities
A special arrow with massive damage activates instantly at the start of the battle. Odysseus then shoots regular arrows from a long distance. If you actively control the hero and change positions by approximately one unit after each shot, the special arrow with massive damage will activate again. The hero also has 4 additional special attributes that help in close combat. The attribute marked with a red circle is an extremely dangerous lightning bolt from the sky and can only be activated 3 times during the battle. It causes approximately 50% troop loss to the hit unit. This hero is primarily designed for the archer playstyle.

Odysseus: The Legendary Hero of Greek Myths, Known for His Cunning and Arduous Journey Home
Odysseus, known as Ulysses in the Latin tradition, was one of the most significant figures of ancient Greek mythology. The king of the island of Ithaca, renowned for his intelligence, courage, and cunning, he played a key role in the Trojan War, and his ten-year journey home became the subject of one of the greatest works of world literature—Homer's epic, the Odyssey.

Role in the Trojan War: Odysseus was not just an ordinary warrior, but above all, an excellent strategist and advisor. Although he initially tried to avoid the war by feigning madness, his ruse was uncovered, and he joined the Achaean army. His most famous contribution to the Greek victory was devising the ruse of the Trojan Horse. It was on his advice that the Greeks built a giant wooden horse, inside which the best warriors hid. The Trojans, believing it to be a conciliatory gift to the gods, pulled the horse into their city, thereby sealing their fate.

A Long and Arduous Journey Home: After the end of the Trojan War, Odysseus and his comrades set out on their journey back to Ithaca. However, his return turned into a ten-year odyssey full of pitfalls and incredible adventures, which were a punishment from the sea god Poseidon for blinding his son, the cyclops Polyphemus. During his journey, Odysseus faced many mythical creatures and dangers:

The Cyclops Polyphemus: A giant, one-eyed man-eater whom Odysseus outwitted and blinded.

The sorceress Circe: She turned his comrades into swine, but Odysseus, with the help of the gods, resisted her spells.

The Sirens: They lured sailors to their deaths with their beautiful singing. Odysseus had his crew's ears plugged with wax and had himself tied to the mast to resist their song.

Scylla and Charybdis: Two sea monsters that guarded a narrow strait.

The nymph Calypso: She held him captive for seven years on her island of Ogygia.

Return to Ithaca: Twenty years after his departure (ten years of war and ten years of wandering), Odysseus finally returned home. However, he found his palace besieged by arrogant suitors who were competing for the hand of his faithful wife, Penelope, and squandering his estate. With the help of his son Telemachus and the goddess Athena, Odysseus, disguised as a beggar, entered the palace and participated in an archery contest. He was the only one able to string his own bow and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads. Subsequently, with Telemachus and loyal servants, he killed all the suitors and reclaimed his rule over Ithaca.

Right so just 1 guy then. Hmm, I would have thought it would be best to have him as a unit if that's possible, like a general's bodyguard like the rest of the characters in-game

Yes, this is about General Odysseus, unescorted. He's depicted as the hero Odysseus. This mod will incorporate a sub-mod that adds units to Odysseus's faction. I'll likely then create a third mod to adjust certain mechanics using Lua scripts.

Is it a unit with a character (like a general) or is it just 1 guy?
