Introduction

Welcome!

This mod includes the Spanish diesel mainline locomotives Class 333.3 and 333.4 in 12 liveries (plus a blank one). This is the result of roughly 40 hours of hard and intensive work, so I really hope you enjoy these amazing locomotives as much as I have when recreating them for Rolling Line.

The locomotives are almost identical to the real ones as they were made using real blueprints. In addition to the exterior part, I've also modelled custom bogies and cabs for the Prima. It was a long and hard work but now everything is finished and ready for you to play with it!

Enjoy!

History (if anyone is interested)

The 333.3 and 333.4 locomotives, also known as "Primas", are a refurbished version of the original 333 locomotives. RENFE, the national operator Spain/s railways before 2005, was satisfied with the performance of the original 333 locos. However, there was a problem: those locos were pretty old and would need to be replaced soon.

RENFE decided to hire Alstom to refurbish 32 Class 333 units. All part of the locomotive, except for the engines, were replaced with Alstom's ones, and many modern systems were installed to the train. Alstom applied its new modular platform concept to the locos, called Prima, so that's why these powerful diesel trains are called "Prima".

Initially, they were only aimed for heavy freight services. However, there was a lack of reliable diesel passenger locomotives so RENFE used some of the Primas for passenger services. For this version, the 333.4, the engines were upgraded a bit to reach 145km/h. Nowadays, the Primas are operated by Renfe (the sucessor of RENFE that operates trains) and by different private companies. In this mod, you can take a look at most, if not all, companies which use this locomotive!

Layouts used for pictures
  • La Antigua.
  • Demo layout (made just for the pictures).

Actually, even though the Tren de la Fresa 333 is mostly brown and white, it has some blue parts IRL. If you search "Tren de la Fresa 333" you can see it clearly.

I've just fixed it. The cab spawn point should be correct now.

Just checked it and yes, it happens. For some reason I assumed the player would enter the cab from outside. As I said before, I'll try to correct the issue. :KSmiley:
