Description
Slither Wing emerges from the past!
This character is adapted from Pokémon: Close Combat[x.com], please check out the game it’s dope
Overview
Slither Wing is a heavy character with a deadly arsenal of long-ranged attacks, as well as multiple projectiles which control the stage. Additionally, it has access to multiple metered moves that can make its offensive capabilities quite explosive.

Dormant Flame (Neutral Special)
Shoots out a flaming orb that lingers for a few seconds. It’s a potent option in neutral and against opponents on ledge, but it can be destroyed by most attacks.

Silk Shot (Side Special)
Shoots a silk projectile that traps opponents in a ball of silk on hit. The higher their damage is, the longer they get trapped. It can also be shot at Dormant Flame to trigger an explosion.

Sunspot (Down Special)
Creates a burst of fire around it, sending opponents upwards. At 6 frames of startup, this is Slither Wing’s fastest move, making it effective at shaking off opponents in certain situations.

Wingbeat (Up Special)
Slither Wing lingers in the air for a moment, then launches upwards. A standard single-hit recovery move that doesn’t have too much knockback.

Hyper Meter

On its HUD, you’ll see the Hyper Meter, which has a total of 3 charges. You can gain one charge by landing a forward/back throw, or by successfully parrying. (Additionally, while in training mode, you can emote to immediately gain 3 charges.) Slither Wing has 3 moves that utilize its Hyper Meter.

Trailblazer (1 Bar Cost)

While grounded during Neutral Special, press forward + special to send Dormant Flame forward. This hits multiple times and can allow for potent follow-ups in certain situations.

Pyrosynthesis (2 Bar Cost)

While grounded during Neutral Special, press backward + special to absorb Dormant Flame. This drags opponents in front of you towards you, then creates an explosion. Additionally, you gain a limited time boost to your movement stats, and some attacks become enhanced. Initially, this bonus lasts for 15 seconds, but certain actions will lower the total time.
  • Airdash - Increased speed/distance, -1 second upon use
  • Up Strong and Up Throw - Damage greatly increased, -10 seconds when hitbox comes out
  • Dormant Flame (Neutral Special) - Explosion damage increased, -1.5 seconds upon detonation (affects damage with Trailblazer as well)
  • Sunspot (Down Special) - Grounded version is jump cancellable on hit, -3 seconds upon jump cancelling
  • Wingbeat (Up Special) - Aerial distance/speed increased, -3 seconds when Slither Wing moves up



Heat Wave (3 Bar Cost)

While grounded and not currently attacking, shielding, etc., press Shield2 to unleash 3 high damage projectiles. These projectiles pierce through opponents, so this attack can be especially strong in free-for-alls or team battles!
