Tiberium Riparius. The Green Death.

Hidden within subterranean facilities below Washington D.C., high-ranking CEDA officials work in secret ambience waiting for the bomb to drop. Hushed voices among them speculate the Green Flu's arrival to be more alien than once believed. At times it poisons the air; at times it blights the water. At times it kills; at times it is not so merciful. It eludes containment, assimilates in a matter of minutes, as if aware of when and where to strike. With approximately 1.5% of its genome yet to be deciphered, it is far too effective to be a virus - too destructive to be from Earth. A terraforming agent, perhaps? A weapon? ...Alive?

Earth reclamation efforts are hereby under the jurisdiction of Zone Operations Command, Global Defense Initiative. The Eastern Seaboard of the United States is now designated as Yellow Zone Y-6.
