Description

Adds recreation as a work type. No more idle pawns!

Details
This is a completely new work type and doesn’t change how vanilla recreation behaviour works.

If a pawn is prioritized for this work type, they do recreation just like they do in vanilla. The difference is that they won’t stop even when their recreation need reaches 100%.

Pawns will avoid ingesting recreation-giving consumables (such as chocolate, insect jelly, beer, or ambrosia) if doing so would raise their recreation need above 100%. This applies only to this work type.

It may improve performance if your colony has many idle pawns.

could you add work types for sleeping and reading as well?

Just released an update. You can check the changelog for details.

Right now, they finish their current recreation before switching to other work, because the check interval hasn’t been set. If the check runs at the same interval as other work types, pawns tend to bounce between recreation sources or repeatedly stop and restart the same one.

In the next version, you’ll be able to toggle this check or adjust its interval. The feature’s done. I’m just finalizing a good default value.

Do they finish their current recreation when they get work to do during recreation, or do they stop and go?

@VitaKaninen Yes to both.

How does this interact with the schedule tab?
If they are scheduled for recreation, but are not prioritized in the work tab at all, will they still recreate?
If recreation is their highest priority, will they do it all day long if they are scheduled for work?

Pretty smart mod, assuming it doesn't conflict with Work Tab, Complex Jobs, or Many Jobs.
This way, you can always switch the priority of every task down, and have Recreation at 1 to make sure they're destressing.
