Nieuport NiD-72 Brazilian Biplane Pack

This mod is a pack containing two Brazilian operated versions of the Nieuport NiD-72, a biplane fighter born as an upgrade to the previous NiD-52 biplane, used by Spain and already featured on this Workshop. Also armed with a pai of French Hotchkiss 7mm machineguns. The models are quite arcade-ish. The project and initial construction of the aircraft were a product of the French mergedcompanies Nieuport-Delâge in Suresnes, Île-de-France, France.

Apart from a miserably superior turn rate and even less significat increase in the climp rate, they were essentially the same aircraft. These aircraft were used in the Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932, A.K.A.The Paulista War, a tenacious but ultimately defeaed attempt by the state of São Paulo to depose the president and call for a new Constitution. After the desertion of a federal pilot, the Paulistas used this and some other fighters in an impromptu air force from the men of the Força Pública, the modern Polícia Militar do Estado de São paulo (PMESP) for the duration of the conflict. Both sides achieved air kills, and are one example of the many tragic but impressive shows of heroism and valour consumated by both sides of what was essentially a short but deadly Civil War, that maimed thousands of families. Translation from the fourth picture : Lived short lives to die well, died well to live forever. The last two pics are the flag of the State of São Paulo and of Brazil, respectively.
