About

The mod adds a new anomaly to the game - the Midas curse. This is a condition that develops as a result of the capture of the body by a colony of mechanites, who replace biological tissue with gold. The infected loses cognitive functions and resembles a shambler. The cursed turns everything he touches into gold.

Cursed by Midas

Consequences of close combat

Close combat is dangerous, as each blow from the cursed can result in limb and organ damage. Infected limbs die due to the activity of the mechanites.

@Cybranian it jsut as with all the DLCs the game evolved from purely symbolic to more detailed, it feels weird to have these proper organized and orderly tiles regardless of original terrain's looks, especially with natural ones.

what happens to the fully gold bodypart? is it just gone, or can i harvest a "gold leg" from the person, that could be used as a pegleg that gives beauty

@Tleno

I can do it but I don't really understand why

It works like normal organ decay, so I guess you can just cut out the affected body part or replace it. If the torso is affected, you're dead :steambored:

Is there a way to defeat this once it starts to happen, like removing the affected organs, developing a counteragent or the like? If it's truly incurable, then its appearance is effective just a death sentence to at least one pawn with nothing to be done about it?

Could also be cool for pawns with enough Midas Touch infection to just become custom golden statues on death, both as a bitter reminder if they're one of yours, or a war-crime enabler if they're hostile.

Any chance of custom gold terrain tiles for this one? Where they're otherwise identical to vanilla but uncraftable and lacking that tiling?

Might I suggest that you add a Surgery Recipe that allows us to remove stuff that has been turned into gold from damaged Pawns, yielding a fixed amount of gold?

Lunertic might have a point

I know it might seem strange... but Lunertic does indeed, have a point here.

I think Lunertic might have a point here.
