History

The A-22B "Cerberus" is a modern attack aircraft developed and manufactured by Gamma Air & Space Military Technologies in collaboration with GMI | Aviations and Escad Corporation (part of Renegade Group and Defense Weapon Group). The project began in the early 2000s as a successor to the A-22A, addressing many of its issues and introducing substantial improvements in attack capabilities. During development, Gamma engineers created an experimental prototype (A-22BX) featuring angled wings and engines, which improved targeting of ground objects because the gun was permanently aimed downward. However, due to difficulties during landings, this version was not mass-produced. Throughout various conflicts in recent decades, the Cerberus has demonstrated exceptional performance in providing close air support. It has been acquired by 42 militaries worldwide (with 28 countries signing ongoing contracts with Gamma), solidifying its reputation as one of the finest attack aircraft of its era.
