NNTC "AH-1F Cobra" Attack Helicopter

The last single engine model of the Cobra gunship, the AH-1F includes upgrades such as an armored cockpit and support for TOW antitank guided missiles.

Ingame, this aircraft is fitted with rocket pods, four TOW-2A line-of-sight guided missiles, and a chin turret. Both seats can do almost all functions, including fly, so this is fun to fly both alone and multicrew.

The missiles are aimed with your mouse when you are not utilizing the targeting pod. If you ARE using it, the missiles will follow the crosshair all the way in.

The turret operates the same way. Tracks your head for quick flicks, and follows the targeting pod if you use that instead.

The rockets can only be fired from the pilot in the back seat if he is not in the targeting pod view.


Operating the targeting pod should be decently straight forward. Keybinds are listed ingame, and I did my best to make the slewing of the pod just the right sensitivity. I cannot however fix the odd things the pod does. If you are passing by a target at high speed with the turret set to stabilize, trying to slew the pod may act funny.

The only symbology on the targeting pod page that may be odd is "ATTK". It just means that the front seat (copilot/gunner) has master arm on and is ready to fire.


No chaff or flares, so just blast March Madness by Future to survive missiles.
