Seoul Metro 3000 series

Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation's Line 3 rolling stock is classified as 3000 series. A total of 34 trains were introduced in 2009 to replace the old 3000 series that had been in use since 1984. These trains are based on the second batch of 2000 Series cars for Line 2. In 2019, a new batch based on the 2000 series 3rd batch was ordered to replace the remaining old 3000 series trains. Since they were ordered as a set with the 5th batch of 2000 series cars, the equipment design is the same, but the safety device systems are different between Line 2 and Line 3, and the exterior designs are also significantly different.
