It will still work even if it conflicts all it shares is the text renaming file

When you say crashing do you mean like the L4D2 game quit on you or are you talking about why they may conflict (Turn Red) in the addons menu? If the first issue, then I recomeend that you VALIDATE your files for L4D2. If the second issue, then they should still work fine, they only share the addon image.
