Description
This addon replaces all the main menu music with a variety of combat ambience to make this game more immersive: (Note: All sounds were acquired with permission of author or provided for free)

1. Jihad sermon + desert combat ambience
2. Desert winds + distant explosions
3. Night time combat ambience (From JSRS beta distant firefight showcase for ArmA 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4qfAJvNzUA)
4. Radio Chatter + intense combat ambience (From Modern Warfare 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLC44KiT4w4)
5. Intense combat ambience (Warfare sound effect 2 - Distant Firefight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbXQ0JNDvLM)

The video preview i provided above is one of the sounds included in this addon.

P.S Im not sure but wait for all the add-ons to load for this addon to start. If you want this to start instantly, move this addon's .vpk called Jihad_ambient.vpk to your "custom" folder. Inside this custom folder should contain another folder called "worksop" where all your workshop addons are stored in.

Also, music volume set to 65% would be good enough for the ones contained in my addon, and all the other victory/defeat music in-game; Everything wont sound too loud or too soft.

@PREACHER Yes it does. If it does not, again, simply move this addon's .vpk called Jihad_ambient.vpk to your "custom" folder. Inside this custom folder should contain another folder called "worksop" where all your workshop addons are stored in

You should throw in some C-RAM (the robotic gatling cannon that shoots down rockets / mortars) sound.

I swear this ambience is just the one from the Insurgency mod before it became a full game.

@[DHD] PakaChaka I used Power Audio Converter, and that software usually yield better results than other converters ive used when modded CS1.6. I think it was 44.1ghz 16bits... 128 kbps somethin like that

can i ask you a couple of questions? 1) when you converted the audtio files to OGG / MP3, did you do so @44.1ghz and 16 bits? and (2) what software did you use to convert to / from ogg? thanks

@[DHD] PakaChaka Yeah i meant to have 3 of them to be a quiet ones while others to be intense. You know "The quiet before the storm" kind of thing

@Evert I agree, thats why those 2 are abit quieter. Honestly i dont know how to make them louder and i dont want to. They dont sound too authenthic but the bass is just good enough.

@swei_la98 I like the realistc one you sent. Thanks for recommending. I think ill add in that one soon :) Yea, i will if i have some good time and find good ones to edit.

i just tried it. its a tad bit too quiet for me. i would have to max out the music and master volume. but when im on vent / ts, i would have to reduce those volumes again.

but i would definitely recommend to friends.
