DFC - Hulk Factory Ship

Description
My latest build, the DFC - Hulk Factory Ship. As the name suggests it is a large industrial ship made to accomodate faction mining vessels. With it's 12 Refineries, 14 Large Azimuth Cargo Containers and 16 Assemblers on-board, the Hulk can Refine and produce building components at a staggering rate. Built specifically to drift from one asteroid to the next strip mining them for valuable resources, all while churning out much needed components for other builds.

The ship is separated into three distinct sections. The Head, which houses the bridge, crew facilities, Refineries and storage. The Neck which includes the Assemblers, Small ship hangar bay and 4 docking connectors underneath. And finally, the Rear which houses the main engines and the Engineering section.

This design is ideal for multiple, small to medium sized, mining ships to dock with ease. The Hangar was built with the standard Keen Mining Ships and/or Repair ships in mind with ample room to fly in and out of the automated Hangar Doors. Locking arms in the ceiling of the hangar bay will hold ships in place while the ship is in transit. The 4 docking port under the Hangar provide easy fly by docking wherever the connector may be on your small ship, although it works best when mounted top side. Docking ports 1 and 4 feature automated pistons to lower the connect down to your ship and then back up when not in use. (originally all of them had this capability but sacrifices had to be made for the hangar).

This build uses many of the same mods as my Hunter Corvette excluding the weapons. I did not include them to cut down on the amount of mods needed.

I included some small fighters just for cinematic effect in the photos. The Corvette was removed from the save file because of the above mods being removed.

I build with hidden thrusters for aesthetic reasons. If you want to use this ship you'll want to turn thruster damage off or remove some of the internal thrusters.

MOD List (Highlighted Mods are optional):

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks!, I enjoy trying to squeeze ever bit of space I can out of the grid with the use of mods, I just wish the developer would give us half-walls panel blocks as stock pieces so we didn't have to use 50 mods to get the intended effect.

This vessel is awesome. From the exterior it doesn't seen a large as it does inside and the internal layout is fantastic! I was surprised how smooth it rendered for me!

It doesn't look like a majestic ship, it does however look like a worn out industrial workhorse
