I just took floor tiles (foliage, cactus etc.) and put them 1-2 steps below ground level into the canyon:

yeah i knew that.
i use it a lot to, it's really useful!
but the part you see on the picture, how did you make that lower canyon.

Thanks, glad you like it.
The layout was created by using mix mapping (Editor -> hammer symbol -> unlock experimental features -> enable mix mapping). It let's you put any track element almost anywhere.
