Description
MOD NOT UPDATED FOR LATEST VERSION

The goal of this mod is to highlight the grandeur of capital ship fights by increasing the amount of damage a ship can sustain and also increasing the duration of time they can fire their weapons. This makes the game much less aracdey and captures, in my opinion, the fluff of science fiction space combat.

What this mod does:
- Increases shield, hull and weapon energy bank levels by 3
- Increases random combat mission monetary rewards by 4
- Increases random non-combat mission monetary rewards by 3
- Exp from random missions has remained more or less the same
- Recharge rate of shields and weapons and repair of hull has remained untouched.

Gameplay wise:
- Battles are less arcadeish, last much longer and look more satisfying.
- Where a ship sustains heavy damage it will require longer to recharge its shields and weapons, preventing the player from rushing through conflict after conflict and adding a sense of realism and grandeur.
- Subsystem damage is more prevalent as ships can survive much longer.
- Boarding is no longer solely about capturing the ship, and can do useful damage to the tougher ships.
- The player can be more reckless and opportunitistic when exploring.
- Ships feel like actual military spaceships and not paperboats.
- Rearmament and repair is a bigger issue

Foreseeable issues:
- Stations and fighters have not been balanced in light of tougher ships.

Is savegame compatible and can be turned on/off at will, just remember to reload the savegame if you do. Feedback is welcome!

Did they fix the infinite spawns? Sure as **** I'd like to see a grand battle of my capital ship vs a bunch of Equinoxes and some mercenaries(without cookie cutter weapons\builds), but last time I checked - before you can deal significant damage without the mod, tons more Equinoxes will spawn and it's just a kite and blast game, which is even below arcade level.

I use the GOG version so thats why I asked for external but its no problem. I ended up figuring out how to mod and made my own personal mod.

Hi Artophwar, I'm extremely busy atm and had not planned to do so. If more people request it I might upload an external download but I currently don't see the problem with Steam Workshop.

That said, I may upload an external download if I find myself with spare time.
