Description
Update 4/8/15 - hooked the cockpit up to the conveyor system for oxygen supply. since i cannot place a generator or tank within the fighter without extensive redesign, you will have to resort to placing oxygen bottles in the storage containers for your oxygen.

Mass: 30,174 kg
Acceleration: 28.93 m/s^2
Weapons: 4 Autocannons, 4 Battlecannons
Storage: 25 Small Containers
Connector: 1

The Stingray was designed in every way to be a carrier fighter. Although it incorporates similar design features from the successful Mantid fighter design, it is smaller and more compact, allowing it to easily fit in cramped hangers. Although it does not carry as much ammunition as other Mantid series fighters, it makes up for this with its heavy firepower and speed.

The Stingray was also designed to improve upon the Mantid series fighters by having a dorsal line of cargo containers, allowing the fighter to be loaded manually without the use of the ventral connector.

Mods Used --------------------------------------------------------------

Armor Ramps
Azimuth Cockpit
CSD Autocannon
CSD Battlecannon

Some have asked about donations. Obviously you needn't feel obliged, but anything is greatly appreciated and you have my thanks!

cool ships dood. can you make a collection of the mods that I would need to use all of them?

Don't mind at all Enkidu. those ships do look nice and is are well done variations of the design :) thanks for sharing.

@veratyr01 sorry for the late reply here, it's easy to get sidetracked. i did like what you did with the fighter, especially finding the room to throw in a medium container instead.

hey Dark Lord... this is one of my favorite ships ever, so i thaught of building something simular. I hope you don't mind. I've gone a little bit over my head and did a whole series of ships based on yours. Her is the link to the latest one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=398356089 Again i hope you don't mind and keep up the good work... ;-)

Apparantly I lost my original rework. Ah well. I love reworking them like this. Here's my version, and I left the (stock) armored thrusters just for you ;) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=398804824

feel free to post it if you like, i'd be interested in the conveyor changes. i never use azimuth thrusters though as i consider them OP

Stripped out a lot of the excess conveyors and streamlined the guts a bit. Managed to fit in a medium cargo container, and switched the batteries and thrusters to Azimuth ones.

what changes did you make?

Love this ship. A little inefficient parts wise, but excellent design. I gave it a bit of an overhaul, can post if you'd like to see what i've done.
