I give you the Athena Class Frigate. Named after Athena, goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason This ship swiftly lives up to its name. Fresh out of our shipyards this ship is the finest definition of "Big things come in small packages". This Frigate is designed for when deplomacy fails and you need to handle a problem. and this ship is one hell of a problem solver. Supporting enough utility and offensive power to reduce most other ships twice its size and weight to a debris field. This ship is fast, agile and can easily and comfortably support a crew compliment of 6-8. This ship also has state of the art early warning and proxy detection systems that will keep pesky bandits and that random bambi from just floating up to your ship and giving it trouble. Weighing in at 4,837 Metric tonnes with plenty of room to upgrade the armoring without harming preformance, and only 4,000 blocks this
ship is perfect for mid-end game pvp server action.

DISCLAIMER: This is a incredibly and intricatly complex ship. their is many systems, sub systems and sub systems for the sub systems. Take the time to learn this ship through and through before you take it onto the battlefield. it will make a night or day difference. i promise you it will. Like really. don`t be dumb... take the time.. Okay... moving on. :p

ALSO! Be sure if your copying it into your world to set EVERYTHING to be owned by you otherwise some features and systems will not work!

Special features: Working elevator and Special hangar deck

Doing away with conventional hangars for our frigates we have evolved a underhanging hangar deck into the ships design. We all too often found that when pvp fights broke loose and our hangers were hit that the debris caused by the ships and other things inside the hangar that were damaged/destroyed would cause further and more severe damage to the mother ship. so by placing the hangar on an open deck any debris from a fight will be blown off harmlessly into space. reducing damage on the mother ship.

We also encorporated a elevator to reach the hangar deck, that retracts into the hull for full protection and can be locked down so the ship can move without the elevator jerking around. Simple controls operate the elevator but be sure to learn how the elevator works.the controls are easy enough. but i digress., not idiot proof.

Ship Features:

-4X nose mounted rocket pods for dogfighting

-20x Turret Placements that can be swapped for rocket or gattling turrets

-State of the art proxy sensors to detect hostile players approaching your ship that trigger ship defenses when tripped

-Defense network that sends the ship into "red alert" status when enemies are nearby and trigger to ambush them preventing the old tactic of turret distraction from working

-Advanced CPU & Logistics room loaded with timers & programmable blocks to install cyber warfare suites into the ship

-6 refineries, 4 Blast furnaces, 8 Assemblers give this ship complete independance from fleet logistics.

-State of the art bridge with standard issue hardened battle bridge behind it

-Captains & exo's Cabins on upper deck with crew commons and quarters on deck 2

-Fully Functional Elevator system to access the hangar deck

-Massive engine power to reach blistering speeds within seconds

-4x Nuclear reactors provide overkill ammounts of power with a "roached***" redundant power system

-Yellow and red alert states so you can notify your crew of situations immediatly

*** Roaching is a term used to describe a system that has no centeralization. inspired from the fact that a cockroach can have its head cut off and still live on for a long time due to the fact its brain is located throughout its body.


Remember this is a prototype Warship it may have bugs still but with some help we can get those ironed out. but early tests suggest that this ship is slated to be a lethal force on any pvp server its deployed to, and would certainly be a crown jewel for any pirate or pirate hunter out there.

I give full permissions to use this ship as apart of a servers AI capturable ship or As a spawn ship if desired.

This is the best ship I've ever seen. Well done man keep up the good work.I love the looks of the smaller one that you just released, but I'm more of a SP survival game player. So therefore I need a big ship that performs well. This would be the one. Love to see what you make next.

Quality of life update: March 19th

Added Oxygen generators to the starship. the ship now is fully pressurized with airlocks at elevator and port side deck 1 access

Change Notes:

-Rebuilt Early Warning and red alert system into timer blocks they should now work as one

-Installed Yellow alert system Yellow alert system will detect meteors, astroids, floating objects, and space stations within your ships proxy, helping you avoid potential collision damage

-Rebuilt the bridge controls so enabling red alert/yellow alert and disabling them are easier

yeah i was confused when it said docking booms
i was thinking something like the hanger bay would fold up into the ship
(if there were no small ships docked)

hehm, yeah one of its unadvertised features :p but yes the docking booms do extend well out of the engines reach so you can clamp ships to it
