so. people have been asking me what do i do for my opening game when i arrive on a pvp server. do i hide in a astroid and secretly build up inside it? No. do i shoot off into deep space and build a platform there? Yes, and no. I use my pitbull.

The pitbull is my opening game starship. the first thing i build after a miner. Its cheap, simple compact but still can hold its own in a fight and is still a pain in the ass for someone to get their paws on it. The ship doesn't even fit in any of the dstc standard classes...I personally say that if a corvette and a transport ship had rough angery sex... this would be its baby. And Yes. I know. its pug fugly.

This ship features the basics any survivor needs, 2 refineries, 4 assemblers, a pair of arc furnaces medical bay, turrets.., and every other tiny ammenity that's needed for survival, as well it has a nice large cargo hold in its back so plenty of space for things. Its a fairly cozy ship and i find it very comfortable, but I would not recromend it for a clausterphobic engineer.

Some special features i upgraded it for this release is the Red alert system from the Athena class, as well as an early warning proxy system that will chew a bandit who's trying to be slick to shreds, and what's better is even his buddy distracting the main turrets won't even be able to save his buddy when the ambush system kicks in. I also padded the underbelly so you can clamp a miner onto the ship and take it with you.
