Typhoon Racing TBR-1

The Typhoon Racing TBR-1 is, simply put, the fastest ship ever created. The ship, whose name stands for "Track-Based Racer Type 1," was built for circuit racing, both on planets and in space. It sports not one, not two, not three, not even four, but FIVE of the most powerful engines ever created: custom-built units supplied by Azimuth Industries, who have also designed each and every other thruster on the ship, as well as the reactors and the cockpit.

"To put our design philosophy of this ship into words," said Greg Pass, Typhoon CEO and head designer for all of Typhoon's products, "I think our great founder, Sean McLoughlin, put it best: Speed is key. The core design principle behind the TBR-1 was that the ship needed the best power-to-weight ratio possible. There's not a single bit of fluff on the ship - it's all there to go fast and win races. That's it."

But, of course, the nature of circuit racing necessitates more than just straight-line speed. That's why the ship has 14 gyroscopes, controlling dozens of thrusters on the ship's hull. The staggering amount of directional thrust combined with the ship's incredible accuracy make it a dream to handle, even at maximum speed; in fact, Typhoon Racing lead pilot Devon "Beast" McCullough has called it "the best-handling ship [he's] ever flown, both planetside and in space." He went on to say that he likes "the way that the reverse thrusters on the front look like two spiked fists striking out at you. That's really awesome." And now you can have the fastest ship ever made for the low, low price of absolutely nothing at all.
