The Scout's Breakneck Baggies (aka jogon) Material Fix

In 1 collection by Pte Jack
Pte Jack's Material Fixes

Description
Materials repaired for both the red and blue team models. Fixed the black areas and make properly paintable.

This is the material only. It will install to your Workshop folder and will not replace the original material unless you have given the workshop folder a higher priority than your TF folder in the Gameinfo.txt file.

If you're still having problems, see this guide. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511040608 . I provides 3 methods on how to get these Materials fixes working in SFM.

Includes:
models\workshop\player\items\scout\jogon\jogon_blue.vmt
models\workshop\player\items\scout\jogon\jogon.vmt

Do you own GMod?
Pte Jack  [author] 17 Dec, 2016 @ 9:25pm
It should already be a part of the TF add on for Gmod. I think.

These will download to the workshop folder in the following path off of the game folder "workshop/materials"/models/workshop/player/items/scout/jogon

It looks like workshop is a double reference in the path, but it isn't, the first workshop is the SFM community workshop folder, the second is the TF community Workshop folder from the TF VPK.

Placing them in a new folder or giving the workshop a higher prioity is a double edged sword... The reason I say this is that a lot of the "Custom" ReSkin materials in the workshop that are used on some of the TF models use the same material file names as their original TF counterparts and either of the following methods will cause the custom skins to load rather than the original TF materials you may want.

Now, if you want to give the SFM Workshop folder a higher priority than TF (not recommended) then open the SFM SDK and go to the Edit Search Paths option and click it.
Pte Jack  [author] 28 Feb, 2015 @ 7:19pm
Find the Workshop reference (usually 2nd last in the list of selected folders) click on it and drag it above tf_movies, then click ok, restart SFM and the SFM workshop folder will be read before the tf folder is.

If you want to move these fixed materials to a new folder (recommended), then create a new folder under the SFM game folder (call it something like TF_Fixed_Mats), now go into the game\workshop folder and find the materials folder and copy it into the new folder. (this way you can keep the subbed items in the workshop folder in case there are updates and you won't get bugged to redownload the subbed items or you can unsub the workshop material items to stop the offer to re-download missing workshop items if you do move them.)
Now launch the SFM SDK go to Edit Search paths and find the new folder you created and drag that above TF_movies. Click OK and restart SFM. This folder will now load before TF_Movies and TF.

The new folder path would look like games\TF_Fixed_mats\materials\models\workshop\player\items\scout\jogon in this particular case.

Hi Jack, by the term you refer "then give your worksop folder a higher prioity that the TF folder or move the materials to a folder that has a higher priority (You must retain the material path off the materials folder)", can you explain it a brief explaination or refer me a guide? I downloaded the mod and still shows it gray.
