Description


This mod adds the Confederate States of America to the game, under the leadership of Jefferson Davis!

Rebel Yell: Infantry units receive a random, unique promotion upon entering combat for the first time (like in the Civil War Scenario). For 3 turns after the outbreak of war, all infantry units may force enemies to retreat (like the Winged Hussar).

Sharpshooter: Replaces the Rifleman for the Confederate States. Slightly weaker than the unit it replaces, but will bombard enemies with a weak ranged attack before entering melee combat. Receives a 20% Defense bonus when stationed on an Antebellum Manor.

Antebellum Manor: Confederate Unique Improvement. Requires Chivalry, and may only be built on flat land. +1 Gold and +1 Culture if built on a source of Cotton, Sugar, or Tobacco (if the More Luxuries mod is active). +1 Production and +1 Culture if built next to a city. While at war, all Antebellum Manors yield an additional +1 Production and Culture.

Includes mod support for Events and Decisions, YnAEMP, Map Labels, Unique Cultural Influence, Civ IV Traits, Cultural Diversity, Historical Religions Complete and Protestant Denominations, Piety and Prestige, and More Luxuries.


Update 2/22/15: Manor can now be built on Sugar instead of Silk to reflect historical accuracy, Slightly increased the Sharpshooter strength (was 28, now 30), added support for JFD's Exploration Continued Expanded, attempted to fix the issues users were having with TSL YnAEMP support

Update 2/24/15: Fixed Civ IV Traits support, no longer conflicts with JFD's Milan

Hey man, been playing your mods for ages. I love the antebellum manor improvement, i even expanded it to cover more resources but i cant seem to get the automated workers to prioritize it for those resources. I've adjusted the yield values as well and I'm not set to "never replace improvements" but they still get replaced with plantations. Any help would be much appreciated

This is one of the more fun modded civs out there. The UA is really good on it's own and the way it interacts with other mods like Sman's militias makes it even more fun. Definitely recommend.

Fix the start bias. Re-rolled on Great Plains about 30 times, nothing but shitty forest.

@SlaterSwayze you can make most mods work for multiplayer, placing the mod files into the DLC folder. The game will think it is a DLC and as long as everyone has the mod DLC, it should work. their is a couple of guides on this from memory

so I noticed the files for the CSS Virginia ironclad replacement in the CSAHiddnStuff xml and was wondering if this was implementable at all in addition to still having the sharpshooter?
