Description
Time to build something more exciting...

What about... A turret! But not those simplistic turrets you see in every game, no, my turret have to be incredible! I will need some laser canons for a better precision... Also a life sensor to detect tagets automatically... Oh, and of course the last embedded processor for fast and fluid movements... Okay, let's gather all that and start to work!
And what if... I could also turn that turret into a flying drone?

FEATURES
- Engineer Goat: Can craft auto-aiming laser Robots (Turrets and Drones).

KEYBOARD CONTROLS
- [R]: Hold 3s without moving to gather crafting materials.
- [LeftCtrl]: Press without moving to select Robot type.
- [R] + 10 Materials: Hold 3s without moving to craft the selected Robot.
- [E]: Transport the Robot in front of you.
- [1]: Press without moving to recycle the transported Robot.
- [RagdollKey]: Drop the transported Robot.

GAMEPAD CONTROLS
- [Y]: Hold 3s without moving to gather crafting materials.
- [DPadDown]: Press without moving to select Robot type.
- [Y] + 10 Materials: Hold 3s without moving to craft the selected Robot.
- [X]: Transport the Robot in front of you.
- [LB]: Press without moving to recycle the transported Robot.
- [B]: Drop the transported Robot.

CHARACTERISTICS
- Only some objects can be used as crafting material (mainly metallic and decorative objects).
- When you gather crafting material a smoke cloud will appear, when it disapear all usable materials will be collected.
- Each player is limited to 10 Turrets and 10 Drones, crafting more will delete the oldest.
- A Robot does not target it's creator (but a lost shot can hit him).
- The Turret camera emit red light when it's is active.
- If a Turret fall at more than 45° it will be deactivated.
- When no player is close to a Robot it will be deactivated.
Turret specifications
- Field of view: 90°
- Fire rate: 4 shots per second
- Defensive damage type: Repulsive laser (10% chance to ragdoll)
- Offensive damage type: Burning laser (damage and ragdoll)
- AI: Target and shoot the closest living creature
Drone specifications
- Field of view: 360° (cannot aim up)
- Fire rate: 2 shots per second
- Defensive damage type: Repulsive laser (10% chance to ragdoll)
- Offensive damage type: Burning laser (damage and ragdoll)
- AI: Target and shoot the closest living creature

EASTER EGGS
- You can now build your own Goater Defence :D
- Turrets can not be copied with the 3D Printer, but craftable materials can be.
- Drones can also be used as platforms ;)

KNOWN BUGS
- Robot components can appear disassembled when the Robot moves too fast (can't fix).

The first step was to build a turret out of existing objects and animate it... This took almost 2 complete days >_< Sadly there is no easy way in Unreal Script to say "stick this object to this other object at this relative position and lock some rotation axis"... So I had to do it the hard way, with a lot of vector and rotator math, and a lot of trials and errors until I got the visuals I expected.
Then came the lasers :D That was the first time I was using a "beam" effect so I had no idea how to configure it (mainly how to say "start here and stop there"). After some hours spend on the internet to find a way to set the end point of the laser through code, I was finally able to make lasers starting at the canon and stoping after hiting something solid :) Another little problem I found with lasers are (once again) ragdolls -_- For some reasons ragdolls are completely undetectable when you make a trace to get the first object in a certain direction... So I used a crappy workarount to let the laser shoot its target even if it's ragdoll, basically I test if the body is closer than the point hit by the end of the laser, and if so, I set the new end of the laser on the ragdoll body.
Last but not least, the crafting system! Honestly, I didn't really think about this before starting the mod. At the beginning there was just a smoke cloud ans some sounds and the turret was spawned from nowhere. Anyway I thought that it could be even more cool if you could "transform" some items into a turret ^^ My first idea was to let you craft turret out of any metallic object, so I started looking for a way to detect if an object was metallic or no. I found a solution but it was not perfect: some metallic objects were detected but not all of them, making it impossible in some maps to find enough items to craft a turret :/ So in the end I added a few more object categories to the "craftable materials" list so that you can almost always find something to use for crafting but also so that you can't use everything for that.

@Chucklenuts: Make sure you have the mutator equipped, then hold the special key button near a bunch of objects, and do that again and again until you collected the right amount of crafting material ;) The number of materials needed is displayed when you collect some objects.

@jimmytime studios: I don't think there is, as the only way to move them is to hold them in front of you, you cannot possible be on top at the same time :/
