Viral Therimorphism

A staple of lycanthropic afflictions, mad biology, and furry-themed biopunk, transformation viruses are the subject of fantastic escapism for many. However, what if such a virus were to exist? What might happen to those infected and subject to the ensuing changes?

A number of factors motivated me to develop this scenario, chief amongst them being an annoyance at elements that I've noticed in other scenarios of this nature - activities as transmission vectors, "Lego" transformations, the occasionally limited selection of lethal symptoms, etc. While I could have simply made another light-hearted transformation fantasy, I wanted to explore the ideas of how far it could go and how it could go horribly wrong in the process.

So, in a nutshell, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

For now, the main focus of development has been on ensuring that the core of the scenario - the virus itself - is a working concept that can provide a fun challenge for players on its own. Future updates will primarily be centered around scenario events, including possible origin scenarios.
