ACTUAL WORKING GEARS with no mods

Description
Sorry about the white screenshot. for some reason since yesterdays update I cant take screenshots for my builds. anyways, Becouse of new blocks that were added in, I had an idea. I tried it out and IT WORKED! I have created gear like things that can transfer horisontal rotation to vertical rotation, and WITHOUT ROPES! this blueprint is to serve as a showcase of how I did it. hope you like it. and once again sorry for the bad screenshot. Ill try to replace it when I can.

Yah. I find ropes to currently be a jack in the box. I actually try to avoid using them thease days.

yeah i was testing it and they aren't any stronger than using the catch blocks and round timber, but great effort :) ... doesn't ever hurt to try a new idea.

i usually avoid using ropes for any sort of power transfer. they are unpredictable at the moment and too much tension makes things explode lol.

I havent tested it too much yet but I think I did see it clip slightly but it didnt clip all the way though. Although I do know the rotation of the rope tie blocks DOES matter. it doesnt work if they are both placed the same way. As to the amount of resistance. It was as smooth as butter when I tested. I plan to do more tests in the future when I have time. I also plan to find out how to optimize it even more. I was just so happy that it both worked and was rather appropriate in size that I had to post it.

oops, my question is that when there is a signifigant amount of resistance on the rope tie, do they clip through each other?

i've been using catch blocks and round timber, but if there's too much resistance the timber will clip through each other.
