You know, the best mod would be to make Ultrasonic Fences in Rising Tide work like they do in vanilla Civ:BE, as in, they forcibly prevent aliens entering within 2 tiles of a city, rather than just "encouraging" them not to. Then, playing with raging aliens, on Apollo, and using this mod to give all the AIs the improved Ultrasonic Fence, would be a real but manageable challenge.
Anyway, giving the AIs the fence was a good mod to use.
The game was fine. But whilst it was a little rough early on, it became trivial later on.
