@alexanderpas question. Using this interchange, but the cars behave strange regarding picking lanes. Right before the off ramp, for example, all traffic on the highway takes the middle lane and ignores the right one. Then on the two lane offramp towards the dog bone0 they do also not use the right lane. Then where they enter the dog bone, they again all drive right into the leftmost (inner) lane. This way, they're blocking all traffic that's coming from the other side of the dogbone. They all want to use the same lane while it should be faster if they chose their own.

Elongated the ramps a bit which should fix the "slope too steep" error.

this works great thanks. The only thing is it is quite temperamental with the slope of the ground, it often spits up the error "slope too steep"

I think the issue is if there is a backup, it compounds because the people who want to go left get stuck behind the people who want to go right because there is only one lane. In that case, it does help substantially to have a second lane in the underpass.
However, I think I was having those backups because of another traffic issue, and ideally traffic wouldn't backup into the interchange. If it does though, a second lane helps

Actually, if they are a two lane one-way, the cims won't use the left lane at all.

In the current layout, if the cims want to take an exit on this side of the intersection, they will choose the right lane, and if they want to take an exit on the other side, they use the left lane.

This is forced due to the on-ramps being only a single lane wide, which means the right lane goes onto the highway, while the left lane continues on the roundabout.

This is pretty great. I am using it in my map now. One thing I had to tweak though was the freeway offramp lanes running through the middle. If you make them a 2-lane one-way, traffic will flow much better because the way the cims pick lanes
