Gravity Editor

Description
This tool can be found in the 'Construction' panel.

The options (for single props)
  • Left-click a prop to take away it's gravity, and right click to give it's gravity back.

  • Change the two 'freeze' options in the menu to stop props falling back to earth if gravity is restored back to them (or taken away). This option also affects the boxes that affect all props. The physics gun can unfreeze props, if you don't already know.

  • Toggle the 'unfreeze' option to override the default function of the tool (changing prop gravity) to simply unfreezing props.

  • Toggle the 'apply to all bones' option to change the effect of all the settings above, obviously applying them to all bones instead of just the selected ones.

The options (for all props)

Note these options will be hidden if you are not an administrator, super administrator, or moderator.
  • Toggle the 'legacy' option to make the first box below it (take away the gravity of all props) function as the Gravity Manipulator does, taking away the environment gravity, instead of looping through every single entity, removing the gravity. Note that if you use this option and click the box below it, you will not be able to modify the gravity of any entities individually, as the gravity has not been taken individually, You can only modify gravity by changing the settings of all props with the buttons below this option.

  • Click the 'take away gravity of ALL props' button to remove the gravity of all props (and all their bones), noting that the 'legacy' option changes this button's function, as described above.

  • Click the 'give back gravity to ALL props' button to not only change the physics environment gravity back to normal, but change the gravity of all props (and all their bones) back to the default setting.

  • Click the 'freeze ALL props' button to freeze all props (and all their bones) in place, as you would with the Physics Gun.

  • Click the 'unfreeze ALL props' button to unfreeze all props (and all their bones), as you would with the Physics Gun.

  • Change the 'Player + NPC gravity' slider to change sv_gravity to a different value.

  • Change the 'gravity timescale' slider to change phys_timescale to a different value.

What Does TimeScale Even Do?

And if you want to add more to this addon, here's a couple ideas, make it so you can change the direction of gravity, left, right, front, back, up, and down. And have it so you can make the effects apply to specific players.

you have to reload the map after changing sv_gravity to make it affect all props

But sv_gravity only works on players. Props and ragdolls remain unaffected, and I'm bashing my head against the wall trying to figure out how to edit gravity for EVERYTHING.
