Grid of the Gods

Description
I like grid hellscapes that operate optimally. If you do as well, this is a great layout for it.

For just the Traffic Trident intersection, go here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409590909

-6 lane one way trunk in the center
-Completely lightless with massive throughput
-Two lane vertical streets permit ease of access on side streets with no blind/weak spots for service.
-Central road perfect for plopping services down.
-For small optimization of traffic, you can put walking paths along the six lane segments, it makes a little difference, if you place 3 in a row, you almost certainly want to do this.

Have successfully testing plopping two of these cutouts in a row and have had 0 traffic issues with either commercial or industrial. 3 in a row causes some backup, but nothing extreme. 4 is too much.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU PUT A SECOND LINE PARRALEL TO THE CITY IN THE OPPOSING DIRECTION, DO NOT CONNECT THE TWO LINES EXCEPT VIA HIGHWAY, IT WILL JAM!

If you lay things out like this

Do NOT connect the left/right two lane one way roads like I did on first test of this. All traffic will jam itself at a single exit point.

You would connect the far end of the grid to an outbound road. My strategy with it was to have a highway system at the entry and exit point of each grid. However I made this 5 years ago before there were mods that would let you control traffic flow more directly. This was just the best way to keep traffic flow high with vanilla mechanics at the time

Awesome grid, can handle lots and lots of traffic. Tried to have few rows of this grid, each one going in opposite directions, making bottom section mirror copy of the top and 6-lane one way serving as transit between sections, forming little loop around, with highway exits on opposite sides of the loop. Worked great, until decided to connect all side roads, going across inside each grid to one another, at the end it messed up traffic, cars stopped using 6-lane one way loop and just used side roads, to go across to highway exit, making it very congested. So if you decided to have few rows of this grid just don't connect them between each other, other than highway or 6-lane one way roads, learned it the hard way;)

Gave it a shot yesterday and I'm baffled how effective this is (and that no one commented on it either xD) !

Will be a regular pattern in my cities from now on, even though it lacks elevated walkways.

Great work =)
