Description
Readding the X-44 Saracen that the Devs cut from the game using the pre-existing assets they left in the game. They couldn't find a niche for it to fill so they felt it didn't fit, I found one for it. :)

I've turned the Saracen into a long range search and destroy craft. It has more range and greater speed than any other human craft in the game. It carries 2 heavy and 2 light weapons, no cannons, and like the Foxtrot it can't Combat Roll so it's vulnerable to smaller and faster craft. It also has a greater radar range and a greater chance of detecting alien craft to help it find and chase down UFOs that are causing trouble outside your bases' radar range.

The X-44 is available for research after you've completed research on the Corsair and the heavy alien armor plating (ie the alien alloy hardening research). I tried to reactivate as many of the existing assests for the craft as I could find, including writing up a new Xenopedia entry for it detailing it's abilities. It's manufacturing costs are between the Corsair and the Maurader.

This mod will function properly on existing saved games as long as you haven't finished the research for the Corsair and the Alien Armor Plating. If you've already completed either of those projects you'll need to roll back to a save from before they were completed or start a new game to gain access to the X-44 Saracen.

thx its is fixed reinstalled the mod and the game that fixed it.

@CODEX I honestly don't know, but I believe that you'd need to revert to a save from before the plane was delivered to fix it. Once a craft is in the save there's no way to alter how many weapon mounts it has.

As for why it's not showing up correctly in the game there could be a lot of reasons for that, but most of them would be fixed by reinstalling the game and the mod to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be.

I don't think there's a way to fix it without loading an old save, so I hope you have one from before you finished building the plane.

te saracen in my game has the same model as the corsair and 1 small mount and a gun also only one hp how can i fix this and can i fix this without breaking my save??

@Comrade Dude, You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear it works with X:CE. If you like the Saracen you may want to look at my other mod that alters the Foxtrot to have a different weapon loadout :)

hi there- funnily enough I was wondering the exact same thing as Rambo. I recently got the game and have been absolutely addicted to it; I cannot wait for the sequel! Regardless, I can confirm that the Sacarren works with X:CE. Lorebot, I absolutely love this thing; its added tons of flavor to my Advanced run (I played my first campaign on normal). Thanks for creating/readding this all those years ago

@Rambo I can't say for sure since X:CE was released after my mod and I've never tested them. But from what I understand of X:CE there shouldn't be any issues using the mod since the mod doesn't change anything in the vanilla game and just uses existing assets to add the Saracen. If you try it out let me know :)

this mod actually fits so well, that i got confused and thought i modded the maurauder into the game instead thinking the saracen was a vanilla aircraft
