Moab, UT & Arches NP

Description
Moab, UT & Arches NP

This is based off a heightmap exported from the terrain.party website. I highly recommend this method of obtaining heightmaps of anywhere on Earth.

The buildable tiles area covers most of the city of Moab to the south, and nearly all of Arches National Park to the north. There is a main river running through the region. This region is covered by canyons, cliffs, rock formations, buttes, and many other height variations, so the original heightmap I worked with was extremely rough. I tried my best to maintain the beauty of the original heightmap contours, while flattening spots with only tiny height differences. Hopefully you will find plenty of building area. This map may be challenging for beginner city builders. There is every region transport connection except for ships. The fertile land is minimal, due to this being an arid climate. You will find ore and oil, each in their own decent sized patch on non-starting tiles. I used boreal for the environment because tropical doesn't quite fit as well. The boreal sand looks more red in my opinion, which fits the Moab area. I recommend finding a custom color correction mod for an improved desert look.

Thanks for checking out my work. Please come back and comment with suggestions for improvement. I can't do everything everyone wants, but I will edit and update anything that makes sense. Please share and rate as well if you enjoyed building a city of your own across Moab and Arches!

@jesserockwell26 I saw your map, looks really nice as well! Mine is much more bland in the desert areas.

Cool map. We might have terrain.partied the same area! My map Blue River Sands is also near Moab and looks really similar! I like the fertile vaalley in yours :)
