This is my first map: Belfast City, Northern Ireland. I was scouting around for a real-world city to recreate, and chose Belfast because of the interesting harbour area.

I got a heightmap from terrain.party for a template, but all the coastline was redone by hand following Google Earth. Gameplay was a big factor in creating this, so the focus was on the docklands area. I added some ore deposits, but felt that oil was too farfetched - you could always add it in yourself if you like. Motorways and rail are correct, although I upgraded major routes North and East to 'highways' so they could be used for import/export.

I'm playing the harbour area as industrial/shipping, but it might be fun to reimagine it as a gleaming commercial waterfront! Remember to play on Left-Sided Driving for that authentic UK experience!
