Doc's mutations (AKA what the doctor ordered for a good, adrenaline-filled L4D2 night)

Description
General philosophy: if you feel other players are stealing your kills, that means there are not enough zombies

This is a complilation of mutations that are all variations on Hard 8. If like me you love hard 8, these provide small tweaks which IMO improves it further. Mainly, in hard 8 the tank becomes a bit of a let down instead of the high tension point it should be (since most of the time it prevents other specials to spawn). Also I made different variations playing with the number of SI/respawn time to provide an alternative way to adapt the difficulty (or to adapt gameplay to +4 players):

SMITE Hard 4+ to Hard 16+: Like Hard 8 but with the number representing the total number of SI. The tank HPs have been boosted (8000 in hard 4, 12000 in 6 etc.)

SMITE No tankee break 4 to 12: The same number of SI to spawn even when the tank is there. The tank HPs have also been increased but not as much as above (6000 in No tankee break 6 etc.)

SMITE relentless 3 to 8: removed the re-spawn timer of SI entirely. This is designed to prevent camping & hugging of choke points that prevent other players to enter into the fray (and also makes chasing after kills pointless). Very effective to provide more intense gameplay. With 4 players a SMITE relentless 4 is as about as hard than a HARD 8 but needs even more to stay together and move constantly forward.

All mutations provide a BIT more ammo for dealing with more targets and time before going automatically idle has been increased (so better to do it manually if you need a break).

The file includes a few other variants, perhaps I will add descriptions later....

Done that already with the .vpk downloaded from the workshop on my desktop.

OK, then if you wish to update the file can be dl here:

I thought it may be useful because what I've mostly added are a couple of intermediary degrees of difficulty, for instance 6 SI but with respwan time the same as in normal game, can be used to play custom maps

I'm afraid there's no such thing for servers. Only CS:GO seems to have something of the like , but I don't expect L4D2 to support it. Keep in mind that a dedicated server is much of a command-line thing, especially if it runs on Linux.

Hi Bub, glad to see you've caught this one even before I post it on the SMITE forum, since putting it on the workshop was aimed in great part at you (i.e. for the SMITE server). This way if you subscribe I will be able to update the file without you having to replace it everytime.

Love Peter Seller's picture from Kubrick's movie. I think you should make it your own, Doc :D
