Marauder Light Cruiser

Description
contains the Marauder light cruiser.

This was my first mod. It addresses the lack of light cruisers that use energy weapons. It uses the Crab model and the Crab Icon but the two fixed missiles are repaced with fixed level 2 ballistic weapons and the 2 unfixed ballistic weapons are replaced with level 2 energy weapons

@Booface There are instructions how to mod at the atomic torch forums. Modifying an existing ship is reallly easy. basicallly you edit the xml and repackage the mod.

awsome ship bro, how do you mod it i would like to have this ship with t1 energy weapons in place of the t2 ballistics but cant seem to figure out how to change it. would really appreciate if someone could help me out.

When I saw this i thought of the marauder missle frigate from star wars empire at war, the thumbnail even looks like it.

I have to say that this ships kicks ass. As I got to level 30 and was finally able to buy a light cruiser, I wasnt too crazy about any of those offered for sale. None were meant to be energy weapon ships. This ship lets me keep my energy weapons. I put 2 ion cannons on this thing and its awesome enough that I can get by without my ballistic hardpoints - Still playing with those and figuring out whats best as I've been ignoring ballistic weapons since I started playing this game. The ion cannons even make up for losing my ability to literally run circles around larger enemy ships in my Avalanche Mk2.

@Ioudent2 That's true but if you take a look at the action on the Hammer's turrets and it's ramming bonuses it's pretty obvious it's meant more as a battering ram than a gunship. I don't like the thing, personally. That said I got the Death Bringer and I find not running out of ballistic ammo on long trips quite refreshing. Just had to save up a ton to get the Dark Matter Generator and some decent forward cannons. Now if there was a LASER shotgun... ;)

@Ceo: Yeah, I had t the same issue. The game randomly seeds items in different stations. I had a hard time tracking it down myself.
