Description
UPDATED with 40% less gigantisme.
One of my first models. And at the time of making we could not see the min/max scale of trees when saving. So I thought it would be scaled 50-100%. And not 100-200%.

Giant tree!

Tris: 762
Texture (d, a): 512 x 512 px
Height: 40-80 m

When placing with a big Brush Size in the map editor; set Brush Strength to 0.10 and place with short controlled clicks. This will make a less dense forest. And makes it easier to mix in other trees.

my main problem with this trees is lack of foliage... they look sick.

@MrMiyagi - But which issue? If it's the LOD model, even Shroomblaze has given up as far as i can find. Because u can't import a LOD model for trees. They use a billboard system. Though a CO dev said he might try to improve the existing system to make better billboard LODs.
I don't have plans of making Ents. But I do believe that the Redwoods are happy to play along. Hehehe.

I don't know either lol. The problem is that the 3D modeling vocabulary is like Greek to me... :D Anyway, he's a really nice person and gave me lots of help trying to make trees. I believe I read a comment by him somewhere about his palm trees that had the same issue, and that he found a fix for it. I'm almost sure there should be something about it in the Paradox forums.

@MrMiyagi - Thx :terraria::terraria::terraria: :) I am not sure which solution u are hinting at. I can't see anything related on his account. Though color variations did get added to the default settings for trees. So I have to look into that at some point.

This is a limitation in C:S. The only thing I could add is colour variations. Which I haven't figured out how to do... yet ;) The biggest problem is that trees don't rotate randomly. This is because of the way the lod is working with trees in this game. With that said, I just realised that I should have rotated the Young version a bit to have a bit more variation. I will fix that.

great mod, very well done, but the trees were very similar, only the changed size.

@romannets - Yea it is bad :( As I also wrote in the text, the game doesn't support custom made lods for trees. Can only hope that this will be changed in an update. Though I read somewhere that they use a special lod system for trees, which doesn't include a normal lod model.
