Well howdy-doody, my in-game name is QtAnimeGrill and I'm here because of one message, of which many variations exist: "how do I stop bleeding?" I'm not against answering this; in fact, I want people to know the mechanics of the Survarium so they can more fully enjoy it. That's why I made a short, three-section guide with lots of pretty pictures to get you started.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE GUIDE

Most likely, you ran into this in your first game: you got in a firefight with some other Ukrainian clone, he died, and then you saw "Stop the bleeding!" at the bottom of your screen. Unsure of how to do so, you bled out on top of the clone you killed.

Just like that?

Don't worry, it doesn't have to be that way.

Option 1: Equip bandages.


Cheap but practical, bandages can heal a quarter of your maximum health and stop the bleeding for just ten rubles a pop.






Option 2: Equip a medkit.


Scavengers, you have a premium option available. For just 10 more silver rubles, you can stop bleeding and heal twice the damage. These balance cost-effectiveness with practicality in battle.




Option 3: Equip a scientific medkit.


The Fringe Settlers wish to live as one with the Zone Forest, and for this reason they have developed the means to live amongst the artifact spam. For 25 rubles each, you're healed for 40 health and receive a slight boost to your ability to resist anomaly damage.

But QtAnimeGrill, how do I use these magical items?

Look down here:
You see that "3"? That's your medkit. Press "3" (default key) to use it.

Special note on consumables: However many you buy before the round begins is how many you have to work with! Let's say you bought five bandages. If you then have five lives where you were injured for around 20 points and used them when you're not bleeding, if you start bleeding on the sixth life, you're a dead man. Use your medical supplies wisely.

Go under Shop and buy some armor. Stationary snipers can use it to survive submachine guns and other rifles at range, and mobile gunners can use it to be the last man standing in a firefight. In addition, your new pants and shirt can be camouflaged, helping you blend in more with your surroundings.

In Survarium, all your gear can be upgraded. The color ranks are, from lowest to highest: grey, blue, green, orange. Grey items may have a modifier, but it's not very noticeable. Blue items have one upgrade. Green items have two. Orange items have three upgrades; the upgrading cap.
In order to upgrade an item, you need a copy of the weapon or armor you want to upgrade, and then (presumably by rearranging parts) you can end up with a better product on the other end. Note that this is very expensive, and your investments should be made at a tier you want to stay at for a while.

Your starter weapons are particularly good for this, as they cost zero.

Special note on drops: Sometimes, orange weapons and armor can drop for you! There is a 1 in 5 chance using the new map system (or more if you spend gold on maps) to receive an orange weapon if it is offered as a possible reward.
