You may have thought that he was a fool for keeping down when there's nobody else on that floor, or that your enemy was hacking. Nay, both those fine Ukrainian clones were practicing the art of being sneaky-beaky like! Just like my last guide, Easy English Tips, I aim to give you a quick run-down about a few valuable skills in the game, filled with delicious multimedia.

Like a true Slav, you must learn to squat (crouch) to properly conceal yourself in Survarium. Why is this, you ask? When you crouchwalk, you make no sound. Since hearing is believing, I ran around in circles and then crouched down to show you the difference.

What's the advantages of crouching?

• People on other levels of a building can't hear you! This is especially good in the School near an enemy spawn or when you're scaling the steps of the radio tower.
  
• Your dispersion is decreased! With better accuracy comes better chances of surviving a random enemy in a small hallway.
  
• You're less visible! Keeping your head down can, in combination with no crouchwalking sound, give you the drop on your enemies.
  
• You can relocate during a firefight! If you're near a tunnel, bridge, or building, you can enter in one way and leave through another that gives you a better vantage point on your enemy.

You may find more advantages as you play. Even though you'll be moving a bit slower, crouching can be invaluable in and out of combat. Use it well, and use it often.

Much like Presidents, they do exist. You may have seen the humble bush, huddled in the flanks of School, or the lowly reeds coating the marshes of Rudnya. What is their true purpose?

You need to give them purpose.

By hiding in them.

However, you want to be able to see your enemy when they come for you, so try peeking your head out a little. Make sure there are still leaves around you, but that you also have visibility.

Here's some gameplay using both the crouching from the previous section and the bushes. Note how rushing in is penalized, whereas a cautious approach is rewarded.

Is your ping regularly spiking at 200-300ms or more? Do you live in South America or Oceania? Then that's the issue: you're connecting across the pond/across the globe. Vostok Games does not currently have servers for these regions, but apparently will introduce them later™.

I don't plan on making a super hxc guide, if that's what you're expecting. You just join ranked matches with a PKP Pecheneg and gun down low-levels while listening to Linkin Park.
